The Kyaka south Mp Jackson Kafuuzi has today missed out on the swearing in ceremony of the newly appointed ministers.
The swearing in ceremony has today been presided over by the
chief justice Bart Katureebe in presence of President Yoweri Museveni at state
house in Entebbe.
The ceremony saw eight ministers taking Oath and these included
ministers for local government Rapheal magyezi, Minister for ICT Judith
Nabakooba and her junior minister Peter Ogwang.
Others are State minister for health general duties Robinah
Nabanja, state for sports Hamson Obua, Molly Kamukama for fisheries, state
minister of environment Beatrice Aknywar and Hellen Adoa, the state minister
for fisheries.
However, Jackson Kafuuzi who had been appointed as deputy
Attorney general missed out on swearing in ceremony.
Sources indicate that president Museveni cautioned the new
ministers against corruption.
Just towards the end of last year the president led a walk against corruption which was a sign and commitment from the fountain of honor to combat graft which is a huge cancer among Ugandans.
At the start of this term of office, the president warned all civil servants of tough measures to curb corruption and un faithful civil servants.
Corruption has continued to affect Uganda’s growth with over
USD.500M meant to facilitate growth and development is swindled every year by
top government officials.
