Ham Kigundu, the founder of Ham Empire has called upon the government to immediately allow him to open his Arcades, this followed guideline set by the government in order for arcades to be reopened following their closure by government in March 2020 in fear of the COVID-19 pandemic
Speaking to the Media after KCCA inspected his Arcades, Ham Kigundu, the young Billionaire stated that his buildings including Ham Shopping ground near St Balikudembe market are ready for reopening because he has put in place all the Standard Operating Procedures that were required of them as landlords before they can be given a go-ahead to reopen their buildings.
It is to be noted that the government through scientists advised landlords to ensure that their buildings have good ventilation and remove all the people who work in walkways inside the arcades. The government also tasked the landlords to provide handwashing facilities at the entrances of the buildings and provide masks to their tenants. The government also requested the tycoons to ensure that they reduce the number of people in each shop.
Now Mr. Kigundu has revealed that His Arcades have accepted to comply with the guidelines and said that His buildings are ready to commence operations. He also called upon the government to find ways on how the country can move with the covid-19 pandemic.
The Billionaire also revealed that he as a landlord is ready to help his tenants manage a business without fear of rent but also to ensure that his buildings are not taken from him due to loans. He said that each landlord will manage their tenants at a personal level to see how to deal with the losses caused by the Covid-19 lockdown.
