Police have arrested five people suspected to be vending fake PLE papers in the districts of Mityana and Mubende.
Addressing a
joint press conference this afternoon at UNEB
head offices in Kampala, the manager examination management, James Turyatemba reveals, the suspects
under police custody had English language, Math, SST and Science and are doing
this with a grand plan of making money after the sell of the fake papers.
Turyatemba still confirms that the arrested had
a clientele base of 20 and were
selling each paper at UGX.1M.
UNEB now
warns the general public that Culprits are vending fake examination papers and
buyers will not get value for their money.
The police
spokesperson, Fred Enanga adds that
the arrested suspects include for males and one female with most of them
teachers and one enrolled nurse and are going to be charged with, uttering
false documents, extortion, and forgery, among others.
UNEB and
police are urging head teachers and parents to ensure that they prepare candidates
and create a smooth environment for learners to write their final exams.
Among the
suspects include, a one Kayongo, Bikwasiraha, Wanyama, Nazimali all teachers
and Muchinguzi an enrolled nurse.
Candidates
will be starting their exams in mid October this year with briefing and will
write their last paper in mid December the same year.
