UJA Issues Guidelines To Journalists in The Wake of Covid-19 Scare

Today Uganda Journalists Association (UJA) has issued guidelines to journalists on how to avoid contracting Coronavirus disease 2019. 
In his briefing to the press, UJA secretary for information/ public Relations Officer Kabuye Ronald appealed to the media house owners and management to provide personal sanitizers, masks and gloves to all their field journalists/ reporters in addition to the general sanitizers stationed at workplaces.
He appealed to journalists to buy their personal sanitizers, gloves, and masks for those who can afford it.
Mr. Kabuye implored journalists to minimize getting into contact with their news sources.
He also urged journalists to report facts and accurate information about the pandemic and also avoid exaggerating the situation or turning it into comic.
He further appealed to the general public to observe the directives and guidelines issued by president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the ministry of health respectively.
