The Covid-19 task force represented by Inter religious council of Uganda has delivered assorted food items and hand washing items (boxes of water, soap, maize flour, powdered milk) to Uganda Cancer Institute.
These items which were received by the Institute’s administration represented by Innocent Atuhe this afternoon are meant for patients and their care takers as part of people identified as the vulnerable.
They will be distributed to 130 recipients.
Speaking on behalf of the inter religious council, Bishop Lwere thanked UCI for continuing to take care of patients despite the challenges faced during this time when the country is battling with Corona virus.
He also noted that this is just the beginning and more donations are yet to be brought to the Cancer Institute through the COVID taskforce.
